Newly added rules about the authentication of the FDA Certifications

Traders in the United States can now legalize and apostille the Federal Export Documents from the US department of State in Washington DC.
 The Center for Devices and Radiological Health “CDRH” will no longer notarize and authenticate the FDA export documents such as Certificates of Exportability, Certificate to Foreign Governments, and Non-clinical Research use only Certificate…etc. starting from March, 2014. The Food and Drugs Administration will start to issue the export authentications without any notarizations.
FDA Export Documents and its types 

·        Certificate to Foreign Government:

Certificates for the exportation of medical devices, human and animal drugs, and biologics that can be marketed in the United States legally and meet the Good Manufacturing Practices regulations (CVM, CDRH, CBER).

·        Certificate of Exportability:

Certificates for the exportation of medical devices, human and animal drugs, and biologics that meet the regulations of the FDA Good Manufacturing Practice but cannot be legally distributed in the United States (CVM, CDRH, CBER)

·        Non-clinical Research Use only Certificate:

It is a certificate for the exportation of materials, components, and products that can be used only for Non-clinical research use and can be legally distributed in the United States (CDRH, CBER).

The FDA notarization for Certificate to Foreign Government “CFG” has recently become a requirement in order to license the export documents. US Apostille is now offering the Federal notary of the FDA for all kinds of” CFG”.

1.       Federal notary by the FDA.
2.       Apostille from the US Department of State in Washington DC.

 The requirements to certify | CFG

The Certificate to Foreign Government “CFG” must indicate the type of the product being exported whether it is:

·         “CFG” for CDRH – Center for Devices and Radiological Health.
·         “CFG” for HCT/P –Human cellular and Tissue-based Products
·         “CFG” for CVM- Center for Veterinary Medicine.

Certificate to Foreign Government | CFG

An export Certification for the exportation of drugs and medical devices legally distributed and marketed in the United States. “CFG” must be notarized by a Federal Notary from the FDA solely for purposes of exportation and must not be used for any advertising in the United States.

         American Exporters can now authenticate and Apostille the FDA Export Certificates from the US department of State in Washington DC.

Starting from March, 2014, the FDA Center for Devices and Radio logical Health “CDRH” will no longer notarize the FDA export documents such as Certificates of Exportability, Certificate to Foreign Governments, and Non-clinical Research use only Certificate…etc. The FDA will continue to issue the export certificates but without any notarization.

Types of FDA Export Documents

·        Certificate of Exportability:
